32456 Live Local is a local business directory for ZIP code 32456 and the surrounding Forgotten Coast region of Florida (Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas, Apalachicola, and nearby communities). It helps residents and visitors see which local businesses are open and find their hours, location, and contact information.
Information we collect
- Business listing information — when a business owner signs up or requests a listing, we collect the business name, category, address, hours, website and social links, and the owner or contact person’s name, phone number, and email address.
- Images and content — logos, photos, descriptions, deals, and other materials a business provides for its listing.
- Payment information — paid listings are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Card and banking details are entered directly with Stripe; we do not collect or store full payment card numbers ourselves. We receive limited billing details (such as confirmation of payment, the plan purchased, and the last few digits/expiration of a card) to manage the subscription.
- Messages you send us — the content of emails, texts, and form submissions you send to us.
- Basic technical and usage data — like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.
How we use information
- To create, build, display, and maintain business listings on the platform.
- To verify and update business hours and information.
- To process payments, subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations.
- To communicate with businesses about onboarding, listings, billing, renewal reminders, and service notices.
- To send occasional marketing about platform features and offerings (you can opt out at any time — see below).
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform and to comply with law.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service, including with:
- Service providers that operate the platform on our behalf, such as our website host (Netlify) and payment processor (Stripe), who may process information under their own privacy policies.
- The public, to the extent a business chooses to include information in its listing — listing content (business name, hours, address, phone, website, photos, deals) is displayed publicly on the platform.
- Legal and safety recipients, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the platform.
- A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Payment processing
Payments and subscriptions are handled by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe to a paid listing, your payment information is provided directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. Paid listings are annual subscriptions that automatically renew until cancelled; the billing and cancellation terms are described in our Owner Terms.
Communications and your choices
By providing your contact information, you agree we may contact you by email, phone, and text (SMS) about your listing, billing, and service matters. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, and out of marketing texts by replying STOP; you may still receive non-marketing service messages. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain listings, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to update or remove your listing information as described below, subject to reasonable processing time and any records we are required to keep.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you or your business by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and consistent with applicable law.
Children’s privacy
The platform is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
